That Kinda Day

I try not to be political on this blog, just make general observations and make people think about my strange life in this very strange city I live in with all kinds of bird flu warnings and phone call and library card, and yes, even my Borders Reward card monitoring. So take what you will from the attached posters. It's that kinda day. Wayne

I'm reading Flow My Tears, the policeman Said by Philip K. Dick right now. I won't get political either, I'll just say it's scary.

Scott, if I'm replying, do you see this in your email? Or only if you have to go back here, which is like having to make a return visit to PeeWee's Playhouse...?

I'm blaming 1 of the following: Mr. Mind, Stanley and his Monster, or Mr. District Attorney.

The explanation lies within that well.

although i like the Mr. Mind theory (gotta love that little worm in the tortoise shell glasses), i can't help but think of Pericle's saying "You don't have to care about politics, but i assure you that politics cares about you." Vance Bourjailay called it "A Game Men Play", albeit destructive.
I still remember being messed with by "Flow My Tears..." and i hear they're making a movie of "A Scanner Darkly". Any odds on whether they strip it of all audience- disturbing content like they did with "Blade Runner", etc. or give it a happy ending like "V for Vendetta"?

I do know it's in that weird artwork like REBOP COWBOY. I think that quite a bit of the disturbing stuff in Dick's books get missed by MOST movie audiences. Alan Moore's name is never mentioned in V because of the happy ending. I can...wait. You just gave me the next blog entry idea....

what the hell are all of you talking about?

Personally, I don't ask much about the government anyways. I find when you disengage you care less about what's going on. Yes, I'm vapid. Yes I love that word.
